"Smrt Frms is a regenerative pastured poultry farm in Utah County. Our chickens rehab local pastures as they create nutrient dense food for us. How do our chickens rehab those pastures? Good question. We “chase” cows around town cleaning up the pastures behind them. Breaking up and spreading the cow pies, providing natural bug control, and spreading our own ‘brand’ of high-nitrogen fertilizer. The pastures we rotate through don’t need chemical fertilizers or insecticides thanks to this grazing rotation with cows and chickens.

Problem / Goal

smrt frms approached me for an identity and branding package. As a burgeoning poultry offering in Utah focused on quality product they needed to stand out from other traditional or established farms.

Solution

As I began sketching concepts, it was clear that I wanted to combine traditional farming energy with smrt frms fresh, modern, healthy approach. I explored combining technology with eggs and chicken iconography. With frequent feedback and check-in's with the client we landed on a solution that reflects their brand values and leaves plenty of room for future business expansion.

Results

smrt frms is now one of the leading poultry farms in Utah, delivering fresh and healthy chicken to everyone. They are now expanding into egg production and continuing to grow.
